The Spring 2007 issue of The
Penwood Review has been released. It has a whopping 52 pages—instead of the
usual ~40! Order your copies soon! Also,
please write and let us know what you think. All comments are welcome.

SPECIAL REQUEST: If anyone is willing, we would greatly
appreciate donations to support our online presence. In the past ten years, more energy has been
spent trying to create top-quality issues each time they are released rather
than concentrate on the financial and promotional end of things. We have relied on free listings and
word-of-mouth to spread the news about The Penwood Review. However, with the increasing cost of printing
and mailing, we are stretched very thin.
Any donations (completely NON-tax-deductible!) would be humbly
appreciated.

GOOD NEWS! Thank you for the e-mails and letters of
support after my accident. I am pleased
to tell you that I had successful surgery on my spine in February 2007, and I
am feeling good, healthy and fully functional!
It will take about a year for my spine to heal completely, but I have no
pain or limitations. I have always felt
a great affinity to those of you who have contributed and kept in touch over
the years, but I’ve been overwhelmed at the compassion and prayers you’ve
offered over this personal crisis. Thank
you from the bottom of my heart.

In late July 2006, our editor, Lori Cameron, was in a serious accident
in which she sustained many injuries, most seriously—a spinal cord injury. The recovery has been difficult and painful;
however, we are determined to stay as much on schedule as we can. As you may know, we are an extremely small
journal with a completely volunteer staff.
Still, we strive for excellence in each issue we publish. Thank you to the many poets and authors who
have contributed to the current issue as well as all previous ones. We appreciate you more than you know.
